      Colloquio

Interviewing with this company was a nightmare. They hired a recruiting agency to seek out potential candidates and reached out to me on LinkedIn, then the recruiter called for a 30 minute phone interview and she asked personal questions about my salary, but wouldn't tell me details about the client and the salary. Then I spent an hour and 20 minutes on a phone interview with the company's HR manager. Then I had to take a test. I was scheduled for a 1st interview with less than 24 hours notice and had to call off work for a 3 hour interview; I was interrogated by the first interviewer from manufacturing that was quite hostile and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, then in the second interview I was asked the same questions on repeat, and warned by the HM that the company was in over its head and didnt know what it was doing. That red flag scared me to moved forward. Then I got the same questions for the third time with the HR manager. I interviewed on a Friday and was told there was one more person interviewing and they'd be in touch to schedule a final interview by Tuesday. This was not the case. I had to reach out to the recruiter twice and heard back a week and a half later that the other candidate was sick, and they were extending the deadline for them. I was asked back nearly a month later for a second interview (3 hours long) to interview with 5 more people, and I was given 3 days notice. I was unable to get the time off work on short notice, and asked to reschedule. They rescheduled and then the morning of the interview, they told me they went with the other candidate for an offer and they cancelled my interview and said, "It really just came down to timing since I couldn't interview when they needed me to." I felt slighted to say the least, since they rescheduled the other candidate's and not mine. The entire interview process was almost 2 months long given the holidays, and waiting around for them to get through other interviews. I was one of the top candidates, but was mishandled and my time was undervalued by them and I felt extremely unappreciated. The entire interview process I asked multiple times if we could discuss salary as this would have been a more senior position and I didn't want to waste my time interviewing and taking time off work to interview if it wasn't going to be worth it, and all they kept telling me was that it would be "generous." This is a candidate's market. This is a senior-level position; get serious and offer what the candidate is desiring upfront so that you're not wasting their time.
