Referred via employee referral. I had read past Glassdoor reviews and was excited by how incredible the feedback was about the culture - I hadn't read so many positive reviews, And then I got to the interview feedback - it was some of the worst I've seen. Things quickly took a turn for me upon receiving my interview confirmation. I first had to follow up for logistics as the initial email provided no information except for time and date (very informal compare to other companies that provide very structured guidelines including a calendar invite). I then had the interview and my expectations were immediately met. As soon as I started the conversation with the interviewer, I knew it was bad. She expressed absolutely no interest in me from the very beginning, even when I made small talk about how she was doing. It is extremely disappointing to apply for a job, get an interview (which is hard enough!!) and then get the bad luck of the draw with a pretty awful interviewer who seemingly was having a bad day. Having read other countless reviews here, it seems this isn't uncommon either. For the company to parade it's authentic culture and then have unqualified hiring managers as gatekeepers, is extremely disappointing. Ultimately, a company misses out on talent.

The interview process was relatively comprehensive while not taking up a great deal of time. From the day I put in my application to my final discussion with the TA representative, the whole process took just under 1 month. This included a Zoom meeting with the TA representative, followed by a Zoom meeting with the hiring manager, and then 3 additional meetings (2 with individuals who would be colleagues and 1 with the director of the division). At all stages, I was provided with an idea of what the interview would entail and the process was relatively seamless & painless. Even though an offer was not ultimately extended, I was impressed enough by what I saw that I would consider applying again in the future.
