This was almost 10 years ago - I applied for the Support Specialist position at the end of October 2011. On November 3, 2011, the recruiter called and I had an interview on the spot, on my cell, while I was staying late for work trying to finish a few things. Definitely not my best interview, in my opinion! 🙂 Tyler was on a hiring freeze, but the recruiter was just following up on leads. He just told me that he would call me back once the hiring freeze was lifted.
Then, on November 18th, the recruiter called me back and let me know that that the hiring freeze was lifted and he needed two supervisory references. I sent those in and had an interview on November 30th.
The interview process took about 2 hours and was with 4 different people (including the recruiter), about 30 minutes per person. My nerves were renewed with each person, but each person was very professional and easy to talk with. There were no trick questions, but I was definitely mentally exhausted after the 2 hours.
The morning of December 7th, the recruiter called back and said that it was between me and someone else and that they wanted to have a second interview. So, I scheduled that interview for the afternoon of December 8th. However, the night of the 7th the recruiter called back and said that my interview was canceled - which was actually good news because, although he couldn't really say, he didn't want me to get ready for an interview the next day that I wouldn't need to go to but he didn't want to worry me - they were working on something for me, but it just wasn't ready yet.
The morning of December 8th he called back and gave me an offer, which I accepted.
