Colloquio
Cold called as recommended by my public policy professor. I left a message since the phone line was busy. I recieved a call back, sent in my resume, and received another call 48 hours later for writing sample & references. Did a hour long phone interview with staff director, then my references were checked - they offered me job before second reference even came through.

Colloquio

I had a total of 3 interviews; 2 with the Legislative Assistant and 1 with the Legislative Director. It was pretty straight forward. I was asked basic questions about myself, what I knew about the member and current events or issues surrounding the issue areas in the policy portfolio.
They also asked how I obtain my news, what my research skills were like and if I minded working on weekends.
Interview with the Legislative Director and then a writing test where you have to respond to two prompts from constituents. Overall, it was not a bad process and took a few weeks.
