Applied online and a recruiter based in HK emailed asking the following: Reasons for leaving your current company: Current basic salary (annually): Discretionary bonus (if any, and when to receive it): Expected basic salary (annually): Notice period: Is Working visa sponsorship required? If not please clarify you are a Singapore citizen or PR. I politely replied saying I cannot divulge my compensation details at such an earlier stage, that I would like to understand the role first. I also mentioned I am more than happy to talk her through those points on a call. She didn't reply. Two days later she cut and pasted her original email and resent it as a new email asking the same. I was surprised that she didnt have the sense to reply to my response. I set aside time later that day to respond to her a second time. Before I could, I received an auto rejection 6 hours later. Shocking to say the least. For a bank that apparently values privacy they sure do ask a lot of personal information just to begin an interview with them. Not to mention the abuse of power to demand this information from a candidate.
