It happened several months ago, maybe summer and they let me know if would be several weeks for first round. No follow up after that until I got an email today that they weren’t not moving me forward. Well, duh. I sent a response back thanking them and that I have something in the interim since it had been months. The reply from I got was unnecessary and unprofessional. Basically a “well we just wrapped the search but it took so long. Congrats on your new job.” Do better, leaders! You represent your department and your school. Take some responsibility that it’s been MONTHS with no communication and own that it was a terrible process.
