The first step was a phone screening with HR, assuring I was a good fit for the company and position. Upon passing the screening, I was then interviewed in person with the hiring manager. Culture is very important at Ultimate, so after my interview with the hiring manager, I was also interviewed by one person who would be indirectly working for me, two people I would be working with, and two of the hiring manager's peers.

What an odd experience. I was contacted by an HR representative for a phone interview. After that interview I was contacted by the same person to schedule an in-person interview with the hiring manager. Upon arriving for the interview early I learned from other occupants on the floor that the Ultimate Software office had moved some 20 miles away. I immediately emailed the HR representative inquiring as to how to proceed. She called some time later to tell me the office had moved and asked to reschedule the interview, for which I had taken that morning off work. When she asked if I wanted to interview with the hiring manager in-person or over the phone, she assured me I would have the opportunity to meet the hiring manager in person so I fit the phone interview in between meetings two days later. I spoke to the hiring manager for quite some time and felt I was well-suited for the position. I never heard another word, even after a follow-up email to the HR representative. My email, nor time off work, deserved a reply.

Had 3 interviews and they took me to lunch. The initial screening with the recruiter went well. I was set to have a phone interview with the director. He was 15 min late and when he finally called he talked for 5 min and had to go. I was scheduled for an in person interview with four people currently in the role. I showed up early and the room we were supposed to meet in was booked. We stood around for a few min and finally found a room. What was supposed to be 2 interviews with 2mgrs in each turned into 1 interview with 4. They were texting each other during the interview and having side discussions. Then they took me to lunch and i thought the conversation went well. It took 2 weeks and i got a generic response after i reached out personally to the recruiter. I asked for feedback and was told they went with someone else. While the company seems great, people seemed happy this experience left me wondering if this particular group was just inexperienced.
