The initial interview was phone/Skype and was basically a resume review. Easy. The in person review was a coding exercise where about 10 people watched you code as you shared your screen and another 5-10 in person. It was moderate difficulty. Then a tic tac toe solution which would have been lengthy. I told them my recommended solution and they seemed happy with that. They asked me to code the solution at home but that is where I draw the line. Spending hours of time at home coding and submitting things that could be a waste of time - I am a busy person. I had another job offer and when I told them that, instead of competing for me they seemed disgusted and rejected me despite the fact that I have all the right skills and experience. I wonder if someone of another gender would be asked to code at home. Overall not a good use of time and coding in front of 20 people - a total stressful waste.
