we all know that all you need is a diploma or GED. there really is not interview just your basic questions like, are you a felon? are you in excessive debt? (10,000+) do you have 12 kids? as long as you are not in any kind of legal trouble or in huge amounts of debt and have a basic set of intellectual skills, the army will take you.

Talked to a recruiter after I left college. He offered a bunch of different jobs and referred me to take the ASVAB. Took the test, a week later he informed me of all the jobs I qualified for. Took a physical ability test (run, pushups, situps), did a background check, conducted a full-blown physical and drug test, and then I was good to go.
