The army will tell you that you can sign up and get any job you want if you get a high Asvab score. You can’t get any job because if it’s not available to have to choose something else. Make sure you do extensive research on the position. Don’t pick a job with a long AIT or you’ll me miserable. Currently active but I wish I would have gone reserve or national guard since they get to go back home after AIT. It is easier to complete college this way plus if you complete ROTC then you will be an officer coming out. Completely easier than the route for Active duty members. The recruiters are fairly nice and will tell you as much as they know. They usually try and get you to get their job as they can vouch for it. I should have listened to mine but I want a different job in the civilian world.

The interview process was very long and tedious. It involved a lot of back and forth, to make sure all paperwork is correct and the medical screening can be very uncomfortable.
