I applied for 2 seperate PSE positions and the process was as follows:
06/11 - Applied to PSE Processing Clerk in PA
- Took the postal exam 473 within a week
- Had the interview three weeks later, there were about 40 people there. There were three different people interviewing about 3 people at a time (it was a group like interview).
- The interviews basically went in the order of who arrived first. There weren't to many questions either. They were just asking if you can be flexible and work overnight and weekend shifts and if you have experience working in a factory like envionment.
- I was there from about 9 am -10:30 am and I was one of the ones to get called first for an interview
- I was on the hiring list for this job but never actually got hired (I think there were a couple of veterans who got the point preference and were hired first)
- Most people were dressed laid back and casual - jeans and sneakers
applied online for the PSE position on 8/6 then was required to take the Postal Exam. After logging back into the Application portal I noticed within a few weeks I was placed on the hiring list. I finally recieved a call on 10/26 for an interview
08/12 - Applied to PSE Clerk in PA (different city)
-Took the postal exam again within a week
- I was called for an interview 2 months later (the end of October)
- This interview was very different, it was one on one, and there weren't really any interview questions. They just told me what the pay was and wanted to make sure I was 1) Flexible and 2) Willing & able to work weekends and holidays.
- Since I have previous USPS experience they just reaffirmed what machines I've been on in the past and which ones i'll probably be on this time. They also had me sign a bunch of forms including a release for drug testing and background check. (Drug testing and background check usually means your getting hired which I think I am) :)

I applied online the 21st of August 2014. I received an email on the next day telling me I need to complete a 2 part test. I did the first part online, then was given further instructions on going to the facility to take the second part on a computer on August 27. I received an email stating i had passed both portions of the test and then was instructed to go for a urine screen on August 29. On september 30 I received an email stating I was scheduled for the pse position on October 1st. I went to the interview and set in a conference room, was given a packet of paperwork to complete, then was finger printed and asked to wait. After about 10 minutes I was taken in to an office and asked a series of questions and why i want to work for the postal service. The interview was pretty short and was easy. I was offered the position and told what my pay rate will be. I am waiting for my email that tells me my exact hours and location I am being placed.

Very Easy, Basic. The Job is already given to you, as soon as you receive an email inviting you to the interview. UNfortuanetly dress attire is not needed either, although it would be great to do so.
