You are selected based on your test score. You have to complete an application. A complete previous job verification is done. A drug test is done and a background check is done as well. In addition to that you are fingerprinted. Once everything checks out, you are placed in training. Upon successful completing of the training, you are assigned to a station.

Very smooth, the interviewer was very personable. The questions were based on everyday scenarios for any station that happens daily. I suggest if you aren’t familiar with the operation and you want to apply for a job at a station that you become very familiar with the operation, manager and staff. Create your ksas based on your knowledge.

Filed application with work experiences using STAR format. Interview was what would youndo in certain situations also using STAR. Thn it was a 16 week ojt and classroom training with advisors rating job and homework. Then if passed placed into temporary assignment until a permenent opening was available to bid on.
