Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite l'università. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso USAA (San Marcos, TX) nel mese di ott 2017
Colloquio
Met them initially on my school career fair and they asked for an interview via phone call. The interview was about 1 hour with 1 interviewer and 1 interviewee and they gave me 2 sheets, one was a basic logic problem and other was a design principle question, they asked me to talk out loud and show my thinking. Other than that they asked me about experiences, about when I solved a problem with unorthodox solutions, and some others specific to my experience. Then I asked questions for about 10 minutes. I asked for feedback and he gave it to me, and even later emailed me how to improve. Overall it was a comfortable interview and I thought it was very fair.
I got an email after applying saying "Thank you for your interest in a position at USAA. Our hiring process is very competitive and, at this time, there were other candidates more closely aligned to the business needs for this position."
I have a GPA in the high 3s and As in all of my CS classes in a state school. They did not even give me a coding assessment just an immediate rejection. Makes zero sense unless they are looking for ONLY Ivy-League candidates. At least give the coding assessment to qualified candidates.
