Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto un giorno. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Uncommon Goods (Brooklyn, NY) nel mese di mag 2017
Colloquio
Was contacted by a recruiter that put me in touch with the recruiting coordinator. Given that they are in a relatively undesirable location, I appreciated the "one and done" in person process. Communication was poor from the get go from the in house coordinator, she didn't respond to two emails requesting the names of people I would be meeting with for a 5hr interview process. Luckily I came prepped looking at their website and doing some research. Even worse when you showed up and realized you could potentially be working in an 85 degree, creepy, unmaintained old army terminal... it made me second guess coming in. It didn't help when the security guy was rude and basically directed me to go sit in a folding chair in the middle of an area they were painting, but fortunately a maintenance employee offered to bring me to the reception area. Office was definitely not easy on the eye. I met with 5 people, I could go on about that... but I won't, except that half way through the second meeting with some woman (who basically said she's only involved in the process because she's friends with the president) I almost faked an emergency to leave. It was that bad and awkward. We couldn't have been anymore on different planets, and her involvement in the process was completely irrelevant but a telling sign of the culture. The third person who came into the interview talked about themselves most of the interview, and I couldn't figure out what the acceptable dress attire was since they looked as if they were dressed for a night at the club. Lastly, the president couldn't have possibly had any less personality than a rock and it was pretty mutual at that point. I felt so bad for wasting a sick day at my then current company that I actually became "unsick" and went into work in hopes of pretending that interview process never happened.
