      Colloquio per Senior Director Sourcing

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 3 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Under Armour (Baltimore, MD) nel mese di set 2015

      Colloquio

In summary, the process was very ad hoc. It was not organized. The company was unsure what they neeed or what they were looking for. The longer story is that I was "head hunted" from a competitor brand. I was contacted by UA talent acquisition and invited to fly to Baltimore for a day of exploratory interviews. My itnerary was very loose - a handful of one/one meetings without agendas. For the most part, that was great. I got a good feel for the company culture and what the general talent needs were. UA continued to court me for several weeks, but without a specific job in mind. I was eventually offered a job verbally and in email, but without a formal written offer. We worked through all of the logisitcs over the phone. I kept asking for something in writing, and suddently and without explanation UA told me they were not going to fill the job they had offered me. End of story. End of process. I am not giving a thumbs-down only because many of the people I spoke with were high quality. I don't think it's the people that are broken, it's just that UA doesn't have a process. They are an immature company. They don't know what they need, let alone what they are looking for. And they don't know how to close deals. I'm very relieved, in fact, that I didn't have to turn them down. They were talking a big game with money, so even though I had serious doubts about the job, I was attraced by the money they were discussing.
