      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Unilever (Istanbul) nel mese di ott 2015

      Colloquio

2 months after the first phone interview, I got invited to a face to face with HR and SC . Hr manager could not make it on time as she was told the wrong date and location. I would have expected them to call any other, even junior hr staff in the building, but they didn't. So I was interviewed alone by the supply chain manager who looked inadequate to assess a candidate while holding a pvc coated A3 size paper written "Recruitment Guide" on it. She played the bad cop all along the interview, said to me with the exact words “ I can understand anything you say because I hold a master's degree.” She asked then if I had any experience abroad. When I told her that I studied high school in Belgium, she said back to me scornfully, " It's not like you lived in Paris, France, you know". It is ridiculous to suggest that the ones who speak French but have no prior Paris experience don’t stand much chance for being recruited. The manners of my interviewer really shocked me and I don't believe that her approach were a part of some interview tactics. At the end of the interview, I am told -finally- that this position was not empty for the time being and that they were making actually an early pool of qualified candidates to choose from in case someone gets promoted ( since Unilever is a global company with lots of career opportunities for their employees). Why can’t they say earlier – like the first phone interview- that this was not an active search? During the recruitment process, I witnessed a huge lack of communication and organization in the company which made me lose my motivation about the job.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

You have been a social person so far in your life. (To my interpretation, she meant, I studied social sciences.) Why do you apply for supply chain department since you are no engineer?
