I learned of the opportunity through our university's career fair. The interview was the next day on campus with a senior HR representative. The first stage was a behavioral interview where we discussed leadership styles and conflict resolution. Union Pacific places a heavy importance on safety, so if you have any experience with safety or risk management, especially with the military, you will have a huge advantage in the interview process. That evening I took a 3 hour test consisting of a business reasoning test, a personality profile test, and a very fast logic test. The logic test consisted of questions like "If all dogs are black and some animals are hungry, are all dogs hungry?" They sound simple but there are a lot of them and not a lot of time. You will find yourself scrambling by the end. It's more a test to see how you think and perform under pressure.
