I was contacted by a "head hunter" and the interview and hiring process went fairly smooth, although I had interviewed for a different position, they were so impressed by my resume, work experience and letters of recommendation, they offered me a lower position with the intent of moving me up to the higher level within 6 months to a year... of course that never happened!
