A senior talent acquisition partner reached out to me regarding a Supervisor position. After I explained my experience, she stated she felt I would be a better and really good fit for a Program Manager role that had just opened up. She advised she would talk to the hiring manager and follow up with me. I sent a few follow up emails to get a status update with no response. She led me to believe I would most likely be moving forward in the process. Then she ghosted me. Before you ghost more people, please remember there are human beings on the other end of this who have families to feed and bills to pay. A simple email following up as you advised - stating you don’t have an update or that they will not be moving forward with you (with a reason why is bonus) is greatly appreciated. I was really looking forward to learning more about the company and the opportunity, but now it has left a bad taste in my mouth.
