Filling out the UN inspira application is time consuming, but worth it eventually. After you submit your applications accordingly, they contacted me by email to schedule a Skype interview. I actually got called for a research internship, but after I did an interview with them they decided to refer me to the communications department since they felt I would be of a better fit there. I interviewed with the communications department and they offered me a 6 month internship in the UN headquarters in New York.

The interview process was simple - I received a phone call and answered 3 questions on my experience relating to the position. I was also able to pose any questions that I had with regards to the responsibilities of this position.
