      Colloquio

      The interview consisted of being called in to do an assessment, which was very easy. You take simulated phone calls, do a personality test, and answer general questions about where you have worked (including phone numbers, addresses - you are required to redo the application at the site you come into interview at). From there, you meet with the tester who did your assessment, and they will tell you if you passed or not. Then an interview is scheduled. On the day of the interview, you'll wait in the lobby - and then they'll come out of a secured door to get you. I was interviewed by the tester, who was an HR representative, and then a manager from another location who had flown in specifically for the interviews they were doing since they were hiring an entirely new class of people at our location. After both interviews, you are free to go. I received a call, a few weeks later, from someone in United's HR department out of state, in Texas, I believe. I played phone tag with her all day, and finally got a hold of her. She told me that I had the position but that I was wait listed for the class. I could be on "stand-by" if I wanted to be, which meant that if they called me to replace someone in the class, I would have to go the day they called. I explained I wouldn't be able to do that because (a) I needed to give my current employer at least 2 weeks notice, and (b) it would be unprofessional to leave them without any notice. The person I spoke with understood completely, and put me down to be listed in the next class they were doing (in the fall, this job was offered in the summer). Fall came, and I emailed the original HR person because I had not heard anything about the 2nd class from anyone. The HR person responded and told me the 2nd class had been cancelled, they were no longer going to be offering it.

      Most of the questions with the 1st person I interviewed with were behavioral based customer service questions. There were behavioral & specific situation questions asked with the second person I interviewed with.

      The interview process was quick. During the process my recruiter was able to explain everything in great detail. It was a refreshing experience. It consisted of in person and group interviews.

      Once you finally get a call it’s a quick interview process. I did 2 interviews but decided to move on. Pretty standard stuff, will ask you about previous insurance and/or customer service experience. Low entry level pay.
