They asked about my experience with computer graphics and a variety of questions about how I would handle certain scenarios that could arise as a technical artist, like how to optimize a scene and create shaders.

First, I had to apply through the Unity website, with a resume, a cover letter and a portfolio. I had to wait for about 3 weeks before receiving a positive answer. Then, I got a short screen call with a technical recruiter, that lasted about 15 minutes. I also had to do a 2-hours Codility coding test. Afterwards, we moved forward to two other interviews, a technical/portfolio review one, and another with the Hiring Manager, of about 1 hour each. After that came the reference checks where I had to provide at least 4 references, including former/managers and peers. The whole process took approximately one month and a half, mainly because we had to match everyone's availability. I got the offer right after the second interviews, even before the reference checks. Everyone was very nice and friendly during the process, and the recruiter I had the pleasure to work with was very accommodating.
