I spent the better part of 40 minutes combing thru line by line of the job description & requirements & was asked to provide length of time of experience per item. After all of this was told in comparison to other candidates people with more experience were rejected, therefore the interviewer would not be submitting me for this position. I was then encouraged to apply for other jobs with the company.

Unfortunately, the phone screen was probably just a test to see how I handled bad news. We discussed the fact that at the very last second that the position was being changed enough to merit cancelling the entire process for everyone and forcing everyone to start over, and they invited me to apply to some new position later. Total bait and switch.
