I guess I got the first stage of the interview which was a video call with their HR. A nice woman, tech savvy, good questions. I explained my understanding of what the company was doing and what my role would be, and how I love working remotely. But then it turned out there was an issue with me being a Russian. She said: "It may be a security issue, but I'll talk to the team, I'm sure it'll be fine". After a few days I was rejected. Didn't even get a tech interview. Why reach out in the first place if you don't hire Russians? That was humiliating.
