Colloquio
I applied on the gov.uk website for the apprenticeship. Once I noticed that they were ten mins away, I thought I would be proactive and contact them directly too to show that I am eager and proactive. Two people interviewed me, one was the potential manager and one was the director. The director seemed to -from the start - appear quite negative and not interested in what I had to say. I mentioned that in my spare time I study programming and he responded by saying "well this job wont be having any of that". I had prepared for the role as I like to think I'm good with tech issues and I proceeded to answer every question correctly. Once answered the director said that it didn't matter if I answered them correctly or not since this is an apprentice role and I would be taught from scratch regardless. The call ended and I just felt like he did not like me or anything I had to say,
I did also notice whilst doing my research on them, of how little diversity there was in this company and thats always a bit of a red flag for me as well. I finally got feedback after asking for it on 3 occasions with the recruiter. I was told that I didnt seem to be passionate enough about it which took me by surprise as I had spoken about how I am self learning courses in tech at the moment to get me started into this career. It was quite expected they would say no but the feedback seemed dishonest as I felt the vibe being off from the bgeinning of the call.
