I was offered a first stage interview with the recruiter. The interviewer asked about my salary expectations pretty much immediately because she said other candidates were not clear about what pay was on offer. The salary was clearly stated in the job ad (which happened to have major grammatical mistakes). After I told her, her mood appeared to shift immediately. I felt the interview was then rushed through very quickly, only lasting 20 minutes. She seemed eager to get off the phone almost immediately and did not provide an opportunity for me to ask questions at the end. The recruiter then ghosted me. Poor interviewer and process. I concluded the job ad probably had the wrong salary listed. Waste of time.
