I was contacted by the recruiter to check themselves if I am interested to apply for the position, I said yes then they sent me the link and I applied, I first had a telephonic interview with a manager, which went well, I was then called for a direct Interview, Where the interview started 30 mins late, Everything was going well until they asked me about my Marks, I didn’t have great marks in my master’s, I have been interviewed at many firms before, if marks are a part of their assessment, then they ask it beforehand or if not they never ask it, but this company was a little wired to ask for the marks at the end, which was kind of embarrassing and unprofessional and my salary expectation was also asked only during a personal interview and not during telephonic interview, If you are calling some one in person then please make sure you have accessed them in all your criteria’s and not asking embarrassing details in personal interview. I am pretty sure my marks and salary expectation had a big influence in the decision. So please don’t waste candidates time without having accessed them on your evaluation criteria.
