      Colloquio

It was the worst interview experience of my life. Company completely disorganized and without any structure which gave me the impression of having a management of selfish and disorganized people. They did not have my resume and even the job description in hand. See how the process went below: After I applied for the offer, I received an email from the recruiter, she scheduled a 30-minute phone interview. In this interview she asked me my motivation, what I know about the company and to give an example of the company's products. Then I had to do a linguistic assessment in English, Italian and Portuguese, but to increase my chances I was also able to respond in Spanish. In the third step, she sent me an email saying that I would have a virtual interview with two people from the CRC Management team. After that, she called me asking for it to be face-to-face, I accepted, then she asked to be virtual again. The role was to help customers in the Portuguese and Italian market, so I asked how the interview would be divided in terms of languages. The lady replied saying that it will be in English, the day before the interview she sent another email saying it would be in Portuguese, English and Italian. That is, not giving me time to prepare for the interview in other languages as well. The fourth stage was the virtual interview, the interviewers talked about themselves and then I talked about myself. In the video call one of the interviewers (the man) started gesturing with his face, making a weird face while I was talking, which made me uncomfortable, after that they started switching languages constantly without telling me. In my experience with other companies, the interviewer usually specifies how the interview will be conducted and when they will change languages. Basically, the managers started the conversation in English switching for Italian, asking me a lot of things in Italian and after in English, then changed it to Spanish asking about the ERP of my previous experience, then in Portuguese, then some past case that I was proud of and asked me to explain in Italian. The problem was not the languages, it was the way the interview was conducted, that is, it was not even like that in real life, because when I answer a call from a customer in Portugal, Spain or Italy in my previews experience the act of answering the phone gives my brain to get ready to answer in the language of the customer. Then he spoke to me. Is it really confusing? The work will be like this. However, the vacancy specified that it would be to serve customers in the Italian and Portuguese-speaking market and not for Spanish. Even if I was going to work for the Spanish market, they should have informed me in advance so that I could have organized myself and knew how to conduct the interview in a clear and objective way. What did not happen. My feeling was that they wanted to destroy me, it made me nervous. They destroyed everything I prepared for the interview. I did a lot research and I prepared good questions. However, when it came time for us to speak in Portuguese, the recruiter (the man) started to get confused and mix Portuguese, Italian and Spanish. So, I did not understand why he acted like that, if even he who was conducting the interview got confused with the languages (that is, he already knew what he was going to say, so he was prepared). At the end of the interview, I asked him to say something good and bad about my interview. He said, that I was a very positive person that this was a good trait for the position, but when I spoke in another language he could hear my accent, so I asked if he understood me when I spoke in another language and he said yes. And I told him that my accent is my identity, my culture. I really liked the job description; the product is magnificent. I am sure I could have excelled in this role, BUT certainly not with that kind of management. What motivated me to get this job was that the organization cares about diversity and inclusion. After the interview I realize that it really does not work for some of your employees. People need to understand that the other people also have a feeling and start to put them in the place of the unemployed person. We never know who will be the next to become unemployed.

It was alright. I was expecting more questions regarding the company, as they told me to prepare and explore the website. Mainly questions about motivation and work experience. 2 ladies who interviewed seemed a bit uninterested.
