Contacted by an external recruiter, who spoke to me several times then sent a representative to meet me before the interview and prep me on what to expect. Interview was brief, and only one of the two people originally promised was there. No technical questions beyond the really basics. I let them know I had another offer on the table so I needed a response quick. Later that day, I got a call from the recruiter - they wanted me to come in again the next day. I went in, this time the manager who had been absent before was there. They asked me exactly the same questions as the day before. I told them that I need a response within 3 days. They said they would let me know. 4 days later, I accepted another offer. The day after that, Van Metre offered me the position. I had to decline.
