I was contacted by the company's recruiter based on my experience in Tech Alliance and Product Marketing. I was enthusiastic and felt my background aligned well with their needs, from the first interview the VP Marketing suggested I might be a better fit for a Product Marketing role. Following the interview with Director of Product Marketing, I believed it went smooth and covered topics such as product launches and GTM/sales enablement. Next step was to meet Unfortunately, I did not receive a response from recruiter after the interview after sending thank you note. I followed up with the VP to inquire about the status and the feedback I got was “need more GTM experience”. This was surprising to me, I requested clarification and did not receive a further response." Overall, I found the decision-making process to be somewhat unclear.
