Long drawn out process with endless interviews and presentations and terrible communication. There are 5 or more interviews plus a candidate exercise. This was months of work and energy with vague expectations and little respect for those putting their lives on hold waiting to here from three. You can be proud of you in-depth hiring process but there is a line where it just becomes abusive.

My interview process with Veeva spanned close to 5 months. In the beginning of the process things went well — engaging interviews and friendly people. After 2 or 3 interviews I was given a “candidate exercise” to configure a system, solve some issues and give a presentation. The exercise took about 30 hours to prepare. That was a panel interview. Two weeks after the panel, I interviewed with the director of the team. All interviews had gone well, and after a couple more weeks of waiting, the hiring manager told me she was submitting my offer for approval. And then I waited… days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into over a month. Six weeks after my final interview, the hiring manager was still waiting for approval to give me an offer. At that point I decided it was best for me to pull my application and pursue other opportunities. The recruiting experience with Veeva was, overall, disappointing.
