I interviewed at Verafin three times for the Senior Software Developer position. The initial round was a phone screening with one of the recruiters. This session lasted approximately 20 minutes, during which we discussed my educational background, work experience, and how they aligned with the job requirements. They asked a mix of technical and behavioral questions based on the job posting.
Following this, I was informed via email after about a week that I had been selected for the second interview round. The second interview lasted about an hour and included a recruiter, a software developer, and a team lead. They delved into the specifics of my resume, particularly focusing on my experience with Cloud systems (GCP, AWS), software workflow management, and CI/CD workflows.
I initially anticipated two rounds of interviews and was hopeful for a decision afterward. However, a week later, I received an unexpected email requesting a third interview. I wasn't pleased because each interview brings significant pressure and stress, The third round mirrored the second, involving interaction with two different team members. I answered all their inquiries to the best of my ability, yet three days later, I received a rejection without any clear justification. I remain perplexed as to why. Adding to my confusion, they requested my Master's degree transcript, where my GPA was exemplary.
Over the past year, I've submitted my application to Verafin on more than 10 occasions, only to be consistently met with rejection despite boasting a strong CV and transcript from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
