I was first contacted by an Indian recruiter called Collabra by a guy named Abhijeet Kashyap. After collecting my information, he set up an interview with the store manager for early the next week. When I arrived, they informed me the store manager was out of town, and the assistant manager took me back for an interview. He was very impressed with the way I dressed and my resume, and kept saying how I made a great first impression. He then asked me to tell him about myself, then asked if I knew much about the position, and then followed up on any points i missed from the recruiter. I told him I had to be out of town for about 6 days, and he said it wasn't a problem, even though it was a 90 day temp position. He then followed up by saying that I most likely had the job and that I was the top candidate. I never received a follow up call or email confirming or declining my employment. I figured that maybe the store manager picked someone else due to the fact that i would b gone for the 6 days. Either way, I was glad I did not get the position, because after googling "Collabra" I discovered that the outsourced temp agent was super shady and repeatedly late (sometimes 3 or more weeks behind) on payment to their temp employees. Very strange that Verizon uses them for most their temp greeters, when they could easily handle the temp services with either themselves or a more credible agency.
