Applied to a specialty engineering role. Online generic submission form. Got a call a week later asking to do a screening interview, agreed, received an email the next day for a screening interview a week later. Call was a 30 minute chat that started 10 minutes late, the recruiter did not read my resume, CV, or cover letter before chatting and seemed confused by which job I applied for. Still felt positive and was told she would follow up later that week with next steps for technical and panel interview. I followed up immediately after, don't hear anything for a week so follow up again, still don't hear anything. 2 more weeks and I get a 'generic' reject that literally said your 'experience and skills are a match for this role however we are not moving forward as we are looking for someone with experience in this role'...This was a role I have been doing for nearly 10 years at a larger similar company. I reached out again asking for clarification and feedback and have been ghosted ever since.

Made it to the final round of interviewing (Onsite interview). After trying to follow up with HR rep the following weeks via email, phone, and LinkedIn, I was completely ignored. I didn't hear from them until I received an automated email rejection 2+ months later. I am very disappointed at how unprofessionally they handled communication, especially since I was at the final stage of interviewing.
