It was ok. They would usually ask the starting common questions for you to be comfortable. They are approachable and would also walk you through the background of the position. It's good that they were nice.

I applied for a position at Vestas in Hamburg, Germany. About a week later, I received a phone call for an initial screening. The person from HR was a little unprofessional, asking the exact same questions I had already answered in the application questionnaire, as if she hadn't even read them. I ignored this, hoping the next steps would be better. I was invited for an interview and told I would meet the future manager and HR. When I arrived, the HR representative was absent. Even the manager was shocked that the HR person was not showing up. He checked with his team and found out the HR contact was Out of Office that day. I believe the manager also felt the tension. During the 60-minute interview, he talked about himself for 45 minutes—with almost no discussion about the position or any interest in me! He promised feedback within the next week. Four weeks later, I emailed them for feedback. The HR person who had contacted me replied that they didn't even know about the status. I think I have never faced such an unprofessional company in my professional life. Later on, they sent me a questionnaire about the interview, and I gave them my honest opinion of the process. It was supposedly supposed to be anonymous, but immediately afterward, I was automatically rejected from two other positions I had applied for directly.
