I had a phone interview with the HR director. For the second interview I met with the director of HR and two HR generalists. I assumed the interview went well but unfortunately I did not get the job. I found it odd, as I have more than enough experience and it was a coordinator role, and I was told they would reach out the next morning. At the time I was recently let go with a few others from my last HR role so was looking to start somewhere new. I did think that there may be some departmental issues because there was an HR generalist that told me I probably know more than her during the interview. Maybe if I would have been giving some feedback on how to improve that would have been helpful but I don’t hear back for over a week.

The interview process consisted of multiple rounds, starting with an online coding assessment that tested problem-solving, data structures, and algorithms. This was followed by two technical interviews where I was asked about Java, Python, and Spring Boot concepts, along with front-end questions on React and Angular. The final round was an HR interview focused on communication skills, cultural fit, and past project experiences. Overall, the process was structured and tested both technical and soft skills.

I interviewed for a Network Engineer role at Vi Living and, while initially optimistic, the experience was disappointing.
There was no phone screen with an HR representative, no video or phone call with the hiring manager; everything was packed into a single onsite interview. I was scheduled to meet with 3 people over a 2-hour window, but I ended up interviewing with 5 people over the course of 3 hours.
The real concern came after the interview. Despite setting expectations for follow-up and giving the company over 3 weeks to respond, I received zero feedback; not even a simple rejection. The recruiter stated they hadn’t heard anything either, which reflects poorly on the company’s internal communication and respect for candidates.
This type of behavior is, unfortunately, becoming more common: companies conduct lengthy interviews, expect significant time commitments, and then go completely silent. It's a discouraging trend and one that undermines trust and damages employer brand.
While the team members I met were courteous, the overall lack of closure and accountability speaks volumes. Vi Living may be a good place for others, but based on my experience, I would think twice before engaging with their hiring process again.
