Met an engineer at a Career Fair through my school. I applied online and heard back that they were interested in scheduling an interview. First interview had a few pretty easy technical questions and a lot of behavioral stuff. Then they contacted me and told me several teams were interested and let me pick which I wanted to proceed with. I chose two teams and interviewed for both positions on the same day. The second interviews were a bit more intense with three interviewers for each position asking a mix of technical and behavioral questions that were somewhat domain specific. I didn't know some of the answers and was honest about that which I think they appreciated. After that they contacted me pretty quickly and told me I could choose which team I wanted to join and they would send me an offer letter.

1 round HR interview, which is just a chat about interests and high-level overview of what they are looking for. 1 round phone interview with a team leader. We chatted about the technical work the team was working on and the problems they needed helps with. 5 rounds onsite at HQ in Carlsbad, CA. A mix of behavioral questions and technical questions.

HR scheduled a WebEx Interview. WebEx was for about 45 minutes. Basic Linux, Networking, and Python. Got back within 2 days, scheduled Onsite Interviews at San Jose, CA. 4 Interviews + Lunch(was fun). I honestly told them about the things I am not confident about but there were 2 interviewers who still persisted, they were unable to ask questions coherently and when I was trying to answer the would not respond with a yes or no. I had to ask them if my approach is understood or in a correct direction. There was this interviewer who had the answer in her mind and when I was giving a better solutions s/he would say "assume you can not do this", (ME: that's fine at least give me a direction to think). Then When I started coding on whiteboard s/he would say make it more efficient and it was not clear how to make a code efficient by putting everything in a single function. In my opinion, it is better to have modular code having multiple smaller functions. HR does not call to give you feedback, just an email with reject. Summary: The work they are doing is interesting but the process was little vague. Travel Logistics: Takes too much time to book, I had to follow up. Book you in a hotel for a day, checkout is noon, Hotel representative calls you during the interview to vacate the hotel. Flight is booked for late night. I end up spending 7 hours at the airport. They gave me connecting flights disregards to whether I have to spend a whole night traveling after 7 spending 7 hours ta the airport.
