This was the second least professional interview process I've endured. The entire time-wasting charade took 2 months over 5 separate interviews on Zoom, each of which was separated by a week or so. At the end of the process a "final" interview with the engineering lead (with whom I had already spoken three times) a month later. A few days after the scheduling was confirmed, all of the engineering positions on their website disappeared, which tells me this company is in disarray. They clearly canceled all hiring due to recessions concerns, but either due to disrespect or incompetence, did not give the courtesy of canceling these meetings a month prior. During the interviewing process, every single person I spoke with made it a point to say that the company was healthy, was not affected by the recession and had just raised a large VC round so there were no funding concerns. In retrospect, this was a huge red flag, everybody there seemed nervous and like they were keeping their options open perhaps with one foot out the door. The interviews were mostly social and personality based. They cared more about my hobbies than my technical skills. They tossed at most a handful of linux 101 questions at me, and that was the extent of any real technical discussions throughout the entire interview process. This is not a serious company, they are interviewing people as a distraction.
