I went and talked to a lot of professors in my field in order to work for them. It was slightly frustrating at times to keep on asking the profs and learning that they are too busy to think about getting another student in their group. After about a month of asking around, one of the profs I had spoken to accepted me into his group, and I have been working for him ever since.

It was a group Zoom interview over several hours. Not super difficult, just time consuming. Met with different positions on the team and they asked relatively the same, expected interview questions, but it was nice to get a perspective from each person.
