Interviewed for Junior Infrastructure Engineer Associate role at Visa in Basingstoke. The interview process consisted of two technical rounds and overall the interviewers were professional and respectful throughout the process. Questions were focused on infrastructure, storage concepts, Linux/Windows exposure, troubleshooting mindset, and behavioral scenarios. One positive aspect was that the recruitment team provided detailed and constructive feedback after the process, which is not very common nowadays. The feedback highlighted both strengths and areas for improvement, particularly around communication confidence and articulating technical concepts clearly during interviews. The role appears to value not only technical knowledge but also communication skills and confidence in explaining technical thought processes, especially in globally distributed teams. My suggestion for future candidates would be: - prepare structured explanations for technical experience, - practice behavioral questions, - and focus on communicating technical concepts confidently, not just knowing the answers. Overall, although I was not selected, the process was professional and a valuable learning experience.
