The entire interview process took ~3 month. I applied through an employee referral (you will receive a link via Smart Recruiter to apply online - space for you to include a cover letter and resume information. This also allows you to track the hiring process) and was contacted by the recruiter via email about 3 weeks later to schedule a phone call. During the phone discussion, I was provided additional information about the role, the hiring department and some of the benefits that are offered by Visa. I was asked for my salary expectation and was given a range for the compensation of the role.
Interview:
- Phone interview with hiring manager - provided a great overview of the role and the organization. Asked a lot of situational questions and at the end of the call, the hiring manager explained the process and next steps.
- Phone interview with another member - technical discussion on role.
- Onsite interviews - Met with six members of the leadership team - ranging from 30 minutes to an hour.
While the process in my case was lengthy, but the overall experience was positive. All the people I've met have been top-notch; the interviews were really engaging and they asked really insightful questions. My advice - Visa is a big company so be patient.
