A year ago I went through their group interview, I hit it off with one manager and met for an interview. Great interview, I definitely had the position until it was eliminated at the last minute. I then interviewed for a sales position, and then another interview (4 now) and wrote a WHY letter an all that. Was told they'd be in touch within a few days. It took 3 WEEKS later and my sending a few emails to hear they'd gone a different direction. Fast forward to last week. The same manager who was going to hire me calls, says the position is back on and wondered if I was interested. I took a day off work to go interview. Again, it went great and I wrote my WHY letter. During the process this time I never got my hopes up and for good reason. Today I get a call that someone internally applied at the last minute, otherwise I had the job. How disrespectful can a company be to call ME to ask me to come back for interview #5 and then pull this again? if they will treat a person that way I'd never want to work for them anyway. I should bill them for the day I took off of work.
