      Colloquio per Junior Account Executive

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso WAVE nel mese di giu 2020

      Colloquio

I applied for Wave Global's Junior Account Executive position via LinkedIn in June 2020 for the London offices. Shortly afterwards I received an email asking me to complete an online video introduction which was to be followed be an interview. The interview was organised for a number of days later and took the form of a group meeting where, essentially, our interviewer informed myself and two others that we were being considered for a Management Training Programme. He spoke at length about the programme and its rewards, including monetary rewards and fast progression opportunities. After this interview we were asked to complete a long-answer questionnaire which would qualify us for a final interview. The final interview was only two days later with a slightly more senior member of staff from America. The interview lasted all of 15 minutes and had no real interview format other than a form of 'tell me about yourself' question. He stated that I would hear back within the next hour, yet they eventually contacted me to offer me the position at 8pm. The following day I was emailed a contract which had no resemblance to the position I had applied for nor the Management Training Programme they had mentioned. The contract essentially stated that I was in no way to be an employee of the company yet was instead a Independent Salesperson who was paid purely on commission. The commission structure was poor and not something one could live on as you would be earning roughly £50 a day; far below a minimum wage. The contract also stated that commission could be taken or with-held from the Independent Salesperson for any reason they deemed worthy of such action or if the Independent Salesperson was in any way accused (not guilty) of fraudulent activity. I emailed the HR team at Wave to query these issues and have received no reply. It appears to me that this company operates as some sort of MLM business and attempts to 'sell' their positions by making false promises so that the interviewee will hopefully fail to read the contract correctly.

      Domanda 1

Hardly any questions were asked, mainly 'tell me about yourself'
