This was a face to face interview facilitated by an off-shore Indian firm. The first interview was a phone screen with a recruiter that seemed to know what the client needed. They did not give me any details as to the nature of the process or the structure of the team. The second face to face interview with the manager was awkward. It consisted of weird uncomfortable role playing coupled with overly ridiculous technical questions and unrealistic use case scenarios. I think the hiring manager wanted to have a purely technical person who was equally functional with a heavy development background similar to his. The hiring manager seemed to be amused to belittle the process with his ridiculousness and rampant technical jargon. While I understand technical platforms quite well for a functional resource, this was off putting and in turn created a very strange experience.
