A recruiter contacted me by phone, gave me a full description of the job but I felt as if she was reading off a script and rushing through it since it was the end of the day. She barely gave me room to ask any questions. Then she scheduled me for a webcam interview with an Area Manager of Improvement & Analysis, District Manager and Routing Analyst (who did not show up to the interview). One of the managers did not have a webcam and I was unable to see him It's 2018 and the company cannot provide a hiring manager with a laptop/desktop with a webcam so they can do video interviews?
The first thing that they asked me is "do you have any questions?" which caught me off guard and made me very confused. An interview is for the company to get to know who you are and if you have any questions about them you will ask them at the end of the interview.
I thought it was very unprofessional for one of the interviewers to not have a webcam and for the other to not show up. After my interview I contacted the recruiter for a follow up and she responded that she would let me know within the next two business days and I never heard back ever again. It is a shame that a company who has a big influence on our environment has such unprofessional staff. Please retrain your recruiters and show them that people are not just numbers.
