Absolutely amazing experience thus far. Had a 30 minute quality and engaging conversation with the Recruiter via phone. He asked high level questions with energy and enthusiasm. Spoke sincerely and highly about the organization, as well as identified true areas for improvement and growth. It’s super refreshing to hear honesty and integrity from a recruiter.
Matt’s follow up and communication was on point, flawless process.
Two days later(today) had my on-site at 230pm. The location is far from my home but accessible using major freeways. And, the drive doesn’t matter if you love where you work. I wouldn’t be interviewing I wasn’t passionate about working there so....
I arrived an hour plus early to prepare and get my mind right. I entered the building fifteen minutes prior to my start time and was greeted by WM’s office coordinator. She was kind, welcoming, personable and great to talk with. This is always a great sign. If you can have a great convo with the front office and they seem happy to be at work, you’re in the right place. Outside of a great chat, she offered me water and I was quickly met by two Sr Managers to start the interview. First question....”How are you doing today?”
Outstanding. Interviewing and recruiting can be quite repetitive, so to start an interview with something as simple and sincere as that, I knew it was going to be a great experience.
Great high level questions around my experience and style, as well as some personal questions. Again, impressive. Everyone wants the opportunity to present themselves as a person, alongside their professional experiences, and they allowed me to do that.
They were engaging, maintained eye contact, as well asked for elaboration on a few occasions. In my opinion, great sign your interviewers are paying attention and respect the person on the other side of the table. That is the most one can ask for.
After a series of Q&A, I was invited to tour the center. I was impressed and surprised by the modern and professional look and feel of the center.......state of the art. And I have worked in some of the best. Each department, it’s employees, goals, growth, and functions were explained to me in detail while we toured the entire center. The employees all had smiles, engaged on the phones or with each other, and were dressed professionally. Sincerely seems like WM’s employees are happy and passionate about their role and the company.
The second Sr Manager rejoined us and they both walked me to the exit. After exchanging a few courtesies and smiles, I left smiling and a better person for the experience, no matter the outcome. The on-site did create more of a motivation and determination to become part of the team, which is exactly what is supposed to happen. I have not received an offer, nor denial, but am eagerly awaiting their follow up.
Cheers and good luck to all
