      Colloquio

I applied the middle of month 1 online. ive applied before and never heard anything so i wasnt expecting a call back. I applied for everything I saw there. unloader/processor, loader and order filler. by the very end of month 2 i got a message on my voicemail for an interview!!! I couldnt believe it! Im a female and so I know how hard it is to get into jobs like this and be a girl. But they called me for the interview, i hadnt even had any related experience, licenses or certifications. maybe 2 days later. i had my interview. - very easy. it was mostly a conversation. no pressure at all. A couple days after that, the beginning of month 3, I was called and told to come in for my job offer! i came in for the job offer the next day. during the job offer she told me how much i would be paid. came out to be $16.45 an hour. 4th shift which is sat, sun, mon 6 am-6pm. the perfect shift. you get your whole week off, and weekend nights too if you want to still go out with friends. at the end of that meeting, i signed papers and she told me to leave right away and to go do my drug screen and then soon as i get home from that , to go ahead and check my email for the background check she sent, and to fill it out right away. she told me i had the job, just as long as my background check and drug screen came back good. I thought , great. Ive never even been arrested. But then i read the background check and it looks like it says its going to do a credit check, driving record check and the background check. well my credit sucks and ive had a ticket or too in the past so i was a little less optimistic now. but i called and called after putting the background check in to figure out if my credit would disqualify me and thats when they told me that the background check is done by a credit agency but they dont actually check your credit at all. 10 days into month 3 i was called and told the background check came back and i had the job. i started orientation 5 days later. so the whole process took about 2 months, from applying online to starting

You had to take a physical exam. You also got a background check and drug test done and they give you a tour of the warehouse before they tell you you're hired.

The hiring process is tedious but well worth it. They have a pretty flexible schedule. I really enjoy working for walmart and plan to stay with them for years to come.

Apply online, then come in for physical assessment Took the PAT today and I failed. After the crate test which I thought I did well on, my lungs were BURNING. I exerted myself but luckily the other person went after me so I had 9 minutes to recover from my mini heart attack (seriously felt like I had just run a mile) Then I did 25 sit-ups in 1 minute. Then I did over 100 revolutions with the hand thing. Idk what they expect you to get to pass. Pretty much all the other employees i saw there were older than me and more out of shape. I'm not doing it again though. I was seriously concerned for my health. I suggest being able to run a mile without getting winded if you want to work here. Be able to do 50 sit-ups and 25 pull ups with no break. That might help.
