Colloquio
I've only done the first part of the interview process which was a 20-30 minute conversation with a recruiter. We talked about my past experience, schooling, and what I've been recently working on.
I could tell that the recruiter wasn't well versed with engineering words. For example, I decribed how I have experience building out web application in React and building APIs in Node. About 15 minutes into the conversation I was asked if I had any experience with Javascript because the job is mainly Javascript, I was dumbfounded. I made the assumption that she would understand that I have experience with Javascript by the 10ish minutes that I've spent talking about building things with React and Node, but I guess not.
I should have made the connection that I'm speaking with someone less experienced in engineering vocabulary quickly and pivot my answers to be easier to understand.
I don't think I'll be hearing back.
There was also some questions that I thought were a little off-topic such as the ones I've listed below. Besides those, expect your general screening questions.
