      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Walmart (Sunnyvale, CA) nel mese di feb 2025

      Colloquio

My experience interviewing for a Staff Product Manager role at Walmart Global Technology was highly disappointing and frustrating. Initially, I was contacted by recruiter Ben Edwards via LinkedIn, indicating that the team was interested in having me apply. However, upon requesting clarity regarding the specific role and product area, I received no response. Despite this, I proactively applied for two open positions and informed the recruiter accordingly. Eventually, a second recruiter, Megan Bradshaw, reached out via email to proceed with an initial interview. Unfortunately, she did not clarify which specific role I was interviewing for, nor did she provide guidance on how to prepare, what specific skills the team sought, or how my background aligned with the position. Even after explicitly asking for further details about the role and team focus, the recruiter simply directed me back to the generic and non-informative job listing. During the initial interview, the senior product manager conducting the screening was also uncertain about which specific role or team I was being considered for, highlighting significant internal communication gaps. Despite this confusion, I was informed that I had passed the initial screening and would move to the final round, now categorized as senior level. The scheduling for the final round interviews was exceptionally poorly organized, taking over a month to coordinate meetings with four separate interviewers. One interviewer was a no-show, resulting in a rescheduling delay of an additional two weeks. Throughout these final interviews, the lack of clarity about the specific role and responsibilities persisted, severely limiting my ability to effectively showcase relevant experience and insights. Following the final interview round, multiple follow-up emails went unanswered until, finally, two weeks later, I received an impersonal, automated rejection email with no explanation or constructive feedback provided. Overall, the recruiting process at Walmart Global Technology was disorganized, unprofessional, and inefficient. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and absence of any meaningful support from the recruiting team made this a thoroughly unsatisfactory experience. Given this experience, I cannot recommend engaging with Walmart Global Technology's recruiting team for Product Management roles, as it was ultimately a poor use of my time and effort.

Didn't even speak to a recruiter, my first interview scheduled was a 45 minute Product interview with the Hiring Manager. It was very product focused (not so much Walmart), with a product case. I felt underprepared which is why I didn't advance to the next round though if I had done more product related interview casing practice, I might have moved to additional rounds.
