I interviewed for a role and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.
The process included three rounds of interviews, with the final round being a three-hour onsite session with multiple stakeholders. While the conversations themselves were professional, there was minimal follow-up afterward.
Shortly after the final round, the recruiter informed me that the team was “moving in another direction.” The rejection email did not include any feedback, so I reached out to the recruiter to request some insight. After receiving no response, I followed up with the hiring manager, thanking him for the opportunity and again asking for feedback. Over a week later, he has not replied nor has the recruiter nearly two weeks later.
The lack of acknowledgment from both the recruiter and hiring manager comes across as disrespectful. Even a brief response indicating that feedback couldn’t be shared would have been appreciated. Failing to respond at all, especially after a three-hour onsite interview that required taking time off work, felt discourteous and frustrating.
Overall, the lack of transparency and basic professionalism in communication does not reflect well on the company’s hiring practices. Candidates deserve timely and respectful responses following such a time-intensive process.

Von der HR wurde telefonisch ein Teams-Gespräch mit einem möglichen Kollegen und dem Bereichsleiter vereinbart. Diese haben sich vorgestellt und neben ihrem Werdegang auch ihre Rolle und ihr Werte erläutert. Im Anschluss habe ich meinen Lebenslauf und meine Vorstellung vom Job berichtet.
Bei anschließenden Fragen schien der Bereichsleiter sehr distanziert, der rangnahe Kollege sehr nah.
Von der Firma habe ich einen guten Eindruck, die Stelle hat aber nicht zu meinen Erwartungen gepasst, worauf ich per Mail an die HR abgesagt habe.
